20-0?

When he graduated from Notre Dame, Mike Lee ’09 walked away from promising career opportunities in finance to pursue his dream of becoming a world-class professional boxer. It hasn’t been easy. The three-time Bengal Bouts champion has battled a rash of serious injuries and fought off doubts from critics who said he wasn’t talented or committed enough.

Yet on Friday, Sept. 15, Lee will enter the ring at The Dome at the Ballpark in Rosemont, Illinois for his biggest fight yet, staring down a talented opponent and a major milestone. A victory will move his unblemished professional record to 20-0 and likely earn him a top 10 world ranking.

As he prepared for this career-defining moment, Lee reflected on the obstacles he has overcome and his ultimate ambition:

Lee’s fight against Aaron Quattrocchi will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 15.
